5 Reasons South Asian Men Are Switching To Ceylon Cinnamon In MCT Oil
(Instead of cutting the rice)
- True Ceylon — not cassia
- 7,200mg equivalent
- Suitable for vegetarians
- One softgel a day
#1: It stops your blood sugar jumping after rice and roti

Eat a plate of rice and your blood sugar climbs for an hour or two, then drops. This makes the climb smaller. In the trial, two hours after a meal it came in about 20 mg/dL lower than placebo — roughly 1.1 mmol/L.
The drop is the half you feel. Your pancreas overshoots bringing the number back down and you land lower than you started — that’s the 2pm wall, the second chai, the biscuit you weren’t planning on.
Smaller climb, smaller drop. You notice this one the same afternoon, months before a blood test shows you anything.
- One softgel each morning
- Nothing comes off your plate
- You feel this one the same day
#2: It’s the only blood sugar supplement made for South Asian men

Two things everyone else gets wrong.
The shell. Softgels are normally made from gelatin, and gelatin is normally pork or beef. So most of the shelf is off the table for a lot of us. Ours has no gelatin in it at all — the shell is plant-based, and the whole thing is suitable for vegetarians.
The threshold. A South Asian body becomes insulin resistant at a lower weight than a European one. NICE says the line is BMI 23 for us, 25 for them. Every other blood sugar supplement is built, dosed and advertised for the other body.
#3: Cinnamon powder in a capsule doesn’t absorb. Ours is in oil, so it does

The bit of cinnamon that does the work is called cinnamaldehyde. It only dissolves in fat. Put it in a dry capsule and most of it goes straight through you.
We concentrate it 12:1 and suspend it in MCT oil, so your body can actually take it in. One softgel is 600mg of extract — the equivalent of 7,200mg of bark.
What it does once it’s in. Insulin knocks on the door of your cells to let glucose in. An enzyme called PTP1B keeps shutting that door. Cinnamaldehyde blocks PTP1B, so the door stays open and the glucose gets used instead of sitting in your blood.
And it’s the right plant. Two things are sold as cinnamon.
| Ceylon | Cassia | |
|---|---|---|
| Species | Cinnamomum verum | Cinnamomum cassia |
| Where you find it | Sri Lanka. Rarely on a supermarket shelf | The supermarket jar |
| Coumarin | ~0.004% | ~1% — hard on the liver |
| Every day? | Yes | Two grams puts you over the daily safe limit on its own |
That’s why you were told not to take cinnamon every day. It was never about cinnamon. It was about the cheap one.

#4: And the number your GP checks stops climbing

Prediabetes moves. Left alone, the fasting number creeps up a little every year. That’s how men end up with a diagnosis without ever having felt ill.
Over twelve weeks in the trial, the placebo group’s fasting glucose went up. The group taking cinnamon stayed level. HbA1c came out 0.2% lower between the two.
Holding level is the win here. We’re not telling you the number falls — we’re telling you it stops drifting in the wrong direction.
#5: If your HbA1c hasn’t moved in 90 days, you get your money back

Most guarantees ask how you feel. That suits the seller, because nobody can check a feeling. This one is settled by a number on your medical file.
Before you start. Ask your GP for an HbA1c. It’s free on the NHS and you’re probably due one anyway. If you’d rather not wait, a home finger-prick kit posts to a lab for about £30.
Then take it for 90 days and do the same test at the same lab. If your HbA1c hasn’t moved, send us both results and we refund you in full. Keep the pouch — posting it back costs us more than it’s worth.
Why HbA1c and not a fasting reading. A fasting number swings with what you ate last night and how you slept. HbA1c is an average, so it can’t be argued with by either of us.
Why 90 days and not 30. An HbA1c measures about three months of blood sugar, because that’s how long a red blood cell lives. Test at four weeks and you’re mostly reading the weeks before you started.
Your 90 Days

- Before you start: Ask your GP for an HbA1c. It’s free on the NHS and you’re probably due one anyway.
- Day 1: One softgel each morning. Nothing comes off your plate.
- The same afternoon: You notice this one months before a blood test shows you anything.
- Day 90: Repeat the same test at the same lab. If your HbA1c hasn’t moved, send us both results and we refund you in full.
